8 Life Hacks That will Change your Life in One Month.
I never thought that the idea of completely changing who you are, motivated by a bigger purpose, was something I could achieve. I was doing the same thing for so long, my mind and body didn’t even need to ever analysis a situation or obstacle. It was all automatic. We are what we are. But of course, that’s not true. We don’t get what we want, we only get what we absolutely need to have. Hands up in the air for Tony Robbins on that one. It’s so fucking true. We want to not want to feel comfortable, but when you think about it, most times we are comfortable, not because it’s what we want, it’s because that’s what we absolutely need to have. That’s the narrative. You may confuse it for happiness. It’s not happiness. It’s convenient. It’s also fucking all your potential up.
How does someone go about rewriting everything we know?
I learned about bio-hacking in the course of two years, while using my life as the test subject, and my biggest life changing goal and digging myself from rock bottom both firmly seating in the drivers seat. I discovered 8 life hacks that changed my life. I was ready to become self-aware. I was always the student. From day one, to 16 months in, I was always learn knew things about myself. It never got easier. And when I thought the hardest obstacle I could ever possibly face was behind me, a new one emerged. The road got tougher. The journey would be painful. But I always got stronger — through mind, spirit and my physical state, I got stronger, because I stayed a student, a learner.
Change is hard, but it’s empowering. It’s power to changer your life. To make decisions that you would not normally make, that requires a heavy jump from what’s comfortable to what is only a big question mark. It’s power to be able to create a vision just outside the depts of that dark unknown, and latch on to it like invincible retracting beam pulling you closer towards it.
That power isn’t something you simply get once and coast through life afterwards. Getting that power took a new level of yourself. That power requires upkeep. Life will never stop presenting you challenges, but it’s always an opportunity to fine tune your power, with decisions that will bring up character and purpose — so you never forget who you are and what got you to where you are.
I created a new life, a new path way and a new me, a complete 180 — by taking the time and transitioning myself to 8 life bio-hacks, that in time I have fine tuned into rituals and habits. The path to self-love is self-discipline. It hurts. It makes you question your why. It makes you question yourself. It challenges your focus and commitment. The path to loving yourself comes through facing yourself and only then flipping the script.
Here are my 8 Life Hacks that will change your life in one month to reach your limitless potential.
Life Hack 1# Take control of your mind
Number 1# Wake up early and the exact same time every morning
Number 2# Go right into a form of mediation/Wim Hof
Number 3# Take a cold shower
This is the ultimate morning elixir to get your day ready to do conquer what you most want in life. And it’s a brutal. Wake-up early. Breathing exercise. Cold Shower. It sounds like bootcamp. But consider this, if this is quite possibly the hardest thing you’re going to have to deal with in this entire day, imagine how could you’ll feel to get it over with in the first 30 minutes of your day. And it set’s the tone. You’re basically starting the day like you’re hitting those Navy Seal drills.
What’s your mindset saying when that happens? You’re not going soft for the rest of the day. You set the tone for everything else. You start the day discipline, organized and focused. You create a pattern. You start a ripple in your day and watch the waves open up.
Wake-up early and wake up the same time every morning. Hitting that snooze bottom is like telling yourself you’re not ready to change your life. Just get up. Don’t think. Don’t put worries in your mind. Don’t go Beta waves so quickly. Stay in that space of learning and imagination which is where you are when you dream. Those first 20 seconds will determine your entire day. That’s why it’s also so important to set a rule that you will not look at your phone for the first 90 minutes of your morning. Don’t bother with social media. Don’t focus on other people’s lives. Focus on why you are going this.
Next we work in a breathing or meditational practise. Mine is Wim Hof. Has been for over a year now and it’s changed my life.
Here’s the link to everything you need to know about it www.wimhofmethod.com. The science behind what is happening in our bodies and minds during this practise is astonishing. Imagine you stat your day by charging up your nervous system and and thoroughly oxidizing every cell in your body. Imagine waking up your endocrine system that regulates all your hormones. And go as far as controlling your bodies ability to regulate temperature. Yeah, now it’s in your hands. And that set’s you up for the next terrifying, super-human, habit. Take a cold shower.
I’ve have taken cold shower for nearly three years. What started from the very beginning as 30 second hits at the end of every satisfying hot shower, become an 8 minute supercharger for my my mind, body and my emotional resilience. This is my super power. Cold shower’s have tremendous benefits that truly lend hand to many bio-hacks we will discuss. Some benefits: include muscle recovery, ridding the body and mind of anxiety and feeling of depression, increases your lymphatic system by acting as a pump and ridding your body of foreign toxins. Cold shower improve mood, focus, perspective and discipline. It also cuts away cravings that normally are a result of how you deal with all the bad things that happen to you.
Life Hack # 2 Set your mind where it needs to be
Number #1 Spend 5-10 reviewing your vision board
Number #2 Practise gratitude
Number #3 5-minute morning pages
Number #4 Set 2-3 daily goals
Now that we got super connected with all the lovely sparks running through every cell in our bodies – we may find ourselves in more of alpha or delta brain state. This means were primed for clarity and learning. This is where you begin your state of self-awareness and self-reflection. Start with your vision board. I’ve created my own and have separated into three parts to create the perfect vision you want for your life. You can find how I created my vision board. Remind yourself what your why is. Find that emotional connection that ties it all together. It becomes your super power juice. Once you do, gratitude comes very easy. You begin to find gratitude where it comes from: direction, love, growth. It opens up the energy for you to move forward as there is no attachments to your past or fears. Learn to always check in with what your grateful for. Take a breath when it’s hard, and say I’m thankful for this air I breath. Learn to allow it to be your guide to fulfilment, to happiness.
Allow yourself to write freely for 5-10 minutes. No editing. Drop everything that’s running through your brain onto paper. Free it so it doesn’t bother you any longer. He said, she said, he did, she did. Put that shit down on paper and move away from you. The point is to let go of the idea of being perfect and just put down all your imperfect thoughts. Or dropped the knowledge you’re going through by doing all this crazy shit only truly enlighten people and billionaires are insane enough to do.
Either one, give yourself permission to be okay with what you want to say. It’s just for you. At this point, no phones. No social media. And then set the goals that pertain to that vision board you reviewed. Write down your goals, why you need to get these ones done and how would you feel if you do them. Because, at the end of the day, nothing trumps hard work and the ability to hold off gratification for a bigger purpose. Set your mind where it needs to be.
Life Hack #3 Train like an athlete, include strength, movement and power
Number #1 Get your ass to the gym.
This follows setting your mind where it needs to be. Exercising now, is the process of increasing the brain’s capabilities to learn and focus. Training in the morning has been shown to help with anxiety by allowing you to use up those cortisol levels. People who train in the morning have shown to have better sleeping patterns and more able to stay in deep sleep.
I’ve trained practical my entire life. I have lived in the gym. It is part of me identity. I have trained at all times of the day from the unimaginably early, lunch and after work hours. When I train in the morning, I always have the best day possible. I’ve set my metabolic rate to feeding me energy through out the day. I have increased my state of learning in BDNF.
Training also can act as an anchor for those area in your life that need a spark. Training takes you through the pain. It shows you how to deal with the disciplines and rituals needed to grown and improve.
You want to focus on certain aspects like stability and strength which will increase mental fortudide. Movement and power challenges the mind to learn quick, response time and adapt. Stretching allows the body to move more efficiently, thus allowing the mind to get creative and find more difficult challenges to use. Train smart. Create a program that exhibits progressed moments and you can constantly challenge yourself. Prime your brain for learning. How your body looks and performs is a testament with the way your mind works.
Life Hack #4 Feel your mind by reset your nutrition
Number #1 Quit Sugar
Number #2 Intermittent Fasting
Number #3 Switch to Keto for energy source
You want to change your life. First rule, don’t die. What you eat matters and not only because of being physical fit, but there is more and more studies showing a link between nutrition and your gut and how your gut has a direct link to your brain. The gut is the second brain. Believe it, our thoughts are linked to the food we eat. Sugar has a direct link to anxiety and depression. Foods that our bodies consider toxic responds with inflammation and this is massive energy sucker. Instead of developing significant learning and memory skills, your mind gets drained from your body exhausting itself trying to combat anything your body tries to shut down. We need to keep it pure so we can keep our mind pure. So we can begin to strengthen our emotions. So we can begin to learn to sit with the pain and find power in not giving into “I need to feel good now” fix.
While writing my book over a period of a year and a half, I made sure my brain was always going to be at it’s max peak performance.
A few have to’s and why:
Sugar is the absolute worst. I know, and sometimes it’s the best. For context, we need to eliminate it. It may have a hold on you and you don’t even know it. Sugar gives your brain a quick hit, just like that other white stuff. It hit’s hard and leaves even harder, making you want more and more. So, you’e focus is disrupted. Your mind keeps jumping.
I’ll tell you from experience, intermittent fasting works on so many levels. Give yourself time and patience, because the beginning period, your body will fight it. It will push against you as hard as it can. But once you get over that hurdle, you will begin to experience a few changes: an increase of human growth hormone, which will effect losing weight or recovering quicker and gaining muscle. Decreased inflammation. Increased brain health increasing BDNF which is involved in memory and learning.
Keto was instrumental for dealing with the anxiousness my body would go through when up against hard objections and yet, I was also able to maintain my bodies muscle mass and low fat percentage. But I love Keto mostly for it’s much superior efficiency of my metabolism and acting as my brain’s energy source. There are no fucking spikes of energy. It’s just the beautiful constancy. Plus, here’s the truth about it: I go out with friends and have a few beers, have a few slices of pizza. That’s not going to fuck anything up when your body finally makes that switch from craving sugars to complete focus. Just get through the first few weeks.
Life Hack #5 Develop an insane workout ethic
Number #1 Schedule a time and place
Number #2 Be accountable
Lets remind ourselves what we have already began to hack: take control of your mind is one, become self-aware and reflect is second. Third, is get the physical state in peak condition for the long haul of crashing your life, and reset your nutrition. And create more mindfulness with your bodies connection to food. We’re all caught up?
This brings us to number 5. This is when it all counts. It’s put up or shut-up, because nothing in life has more evidence to support achieving greatness, more than working your fucking ass off everyday. You are setting yourself up to be in your best state for growth and success. This is where you take that super juice you created in your brain and you point it past all your comfort and self-judgement and you do what needs to be done.
Make sure that when you go through your daily goals in the morning, you connect to the feeling that it’s done, close your eyes, breath deep and just feel it for a second. Create a goal that you know is not out of reach. Be honest with yourself. Don’t make it too easy.
I swear by this. Schedule shit. It increases the chances that you’re going to do it. Make sure you block off the time and know where you’re going to go to do the work.
And now the tough part: accountability. You gotta check in with yourself through out the day. Ask yourself have I don’t what I told myself I would do? Am I making excuses that is more projected than evidence based? Keep your word. Schedule time during the day, you know you can spare and do the fucking work. Track and journal what comes up if anything does. Are you feeling anxious and nervous?
Are you temped by some kind of dopamine fix right about now? Sit with the feeling and always go back in your mind of your vision board. Focus on deep breathing and let your mind take you there for a moment. Reconnect to that moment and create a pattern. The more days you come over the temptation of not doing the work, you begin to train your mind to know it so well it stops becoming a negative. It becomes part of your Yoda training – so to speak.
Another suggestion is you can make yourself accountable to someone. For myself, it was my editor.
Allow the your daily set-up with our first 3 bio-hacks with enough persistence and learning to sharpen your work ethic. Watch how this maturation your discipline and mindset go through and start to evolve into this beautiful power you all of a sudden posse. The pursuit of greatness is always followed by how self-aware you are. When you resist, always be ready to allow yourself to be vulnerable. Check in with whats going on inside you. And learn to use that mindfulness to transform yourself in the guy that will eat shit for the next year to level up to greatness.
Life Hack #6 Practise becoming braver
Number #1 Figure out what it is and go there
I thought a lot about this one. I sat with it for a while, asking why does this matter. It does matter. You only grow when you push past resistance. The reason you’re not growing is because you’re telling yourself something and you’re believing it. And the thing you’re telling yourself, doesn’t even matter. But you tell yourself it does. It’s called fear and it’s lying to you. And if you don’t start to change the way you think about that fear, it becomes your belief. The story may change. The fear is the same. You have to start practising to step into that fear. That’s brave. That’s courage.
When you start building that into your DNA, it becomes a part of you. When you practise being bravery, what you soon find out is that it’s not the end of the world, you didn’t die and all the people that you think are rooting against you, probably don’t give a fuck.
How did I practise being brave?
I started my sharing my story and my life on all my social media platforms. I was always a post a month kind of guy, eventually it came down to once every 2 months and then I was completely off any social media platform for 6 months. But I never really shared who I was on my social media before. It was always what the best life could look like in my current position. So in this case, it was everything. I shared my good moments, my bad ones and what it really looked like to eat shit and change your life.
Find what terrifies you most. And go directly towards it. Begin small but make it a daily practise. Build that muscle, because it will open up so much energy in many areas in your life, including relationships and connections. Add all your thought in your morning journal. Put it down and free it up to do the work.
Life Hack #7 Master your evening routine.
Number #1 Phone on airplane mode after 6
Number #2 Reflect on the day/journal
Number #3 Read for minimum 60 minutes
Where as the first 3 bio-hacks set up your morning to create an organized mindset, here we look to create down time and recharge. It’s extremely easy to fall into the end of the day rut and wind-off with pizza and net flick every single night. It’s also easier to stay feeling stuck and useless.
Let’s say this: If your morning routine is the most important part of your day, then your evening is the catalyst to your morning. How you wake up in the morning is determined on how you sleep and your evening routine plays it’s part on how you sleep. It’s always a good idea to reflect on your day. What you did, what you didn’t do and was there a real reason to not do it? Recognize any feelings you have when you check in with the goals you accomplished and especially with the ones you don’t. Practise checking in every evening to build up your confidence and self-awareness.
We should also declare that you should be done checking in on all your friends videos and photos after 6 pm, when you are ready to start your evening routine. Put your phone on airplane mode so you don’t have any momentary lapse of “MOFO” and so that you’r on airplane mode when you start your morning as well.
Always end the night with a book. A lot of people like reading in the morning. It is also included in many people’s morning routine and I use to have it in there, but I found I enjoyed the evening so much more. Reading doesn’t just allow you to unwind, it still dissolve your mind into knowledge, builds perspective and empathy, opens up your imagination and keeps your brain sharp.
A good book can change your life.
Bio Hack #8 Prioritize Sleep.
When it’s all said and done, and the very end of the day, none of it matters if you are not taking care of this last life hack. End of the day. This is the most important thing on this list. I bet you know this. I bet you’ve heard it so many times. It’s been a major discussion in the last decade along side mediation and brain waves. I also bet, you might be one of the billions that still takes majorly for granted. Why? You’re young. You’re a little naive. You think you’re perfect. You think you’re going to stay perfect. It’s not a discussion. You want to go out and sleep in. Everyday. Sleep is vital for how efficiently everything in your mind and body operate. But it’s not a matter of quantity as much as it is of quality of sleep.
First, sleep in involved in how your brain cells communicate with each other. Without forming a habit of getting into a deep sleep, your brain could no longer form pathways that allow you to increase learning and memory. It effects your mood. It effects your hormones. It effects your ability to be productive in the day.
The lack of quality sleep leads to many mental health issues, including depression.

This isn’t going to be easy. Not even a little bit. In the year I spend working on my second draft of my book, I was an emotional rollercoaster. I had up’s and so many downs. I wanted to quit often. You will match your standard with conditioning and persistence. If you want anything in life and it’s consuming your every thought, then you owe it to yourself to change your life.
